Soweto626 is an exciting carnival-style quick service food business operating from an outdoor setup. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and energetic team member to assist with the daily setup, food preparation, cooking, customer service, cleaning, and pack-down of our operation.
This is a hands-on role that requires someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in cleanliness, and is comfortable assisting in all areas of a growing food business. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily setup of gazebos, tents, tables, equipment, and signage. Help prepare ingredients and food items before service. Assist with cooking and serving customers. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the day. Wash utensils, equipment, and food preparation items. Assist with stock management and inventory counts. Help with daily closing procedures and pack-down. Load and unload equipment and supplies as required. Provide friendly and professional customer service. Support the owner with general day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Previous food service, catering, restaurant, or street food experience is advantageous but not essential. Physically fit and able to lift and move equipment. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Able to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours when required. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to cleanliness and detail.

Compensation
Guaranteed basic salary and employee keeps ALL tips opportunity for growth as the business expands. Performance-based incentives may be offered.
