Responsibilities will involve portfolio management, inclusive of all administrative, legal, financial, and operational aspects of a diverse portfolio of community schemes. The position is based in the City Centre, Cape Town.
Successful applicants must have a valid drivers licence and their own reliable vehicle as well as have availability to attend on site & after-hours meetings when needed from time to time.
Portfolio Management
- Provide guidance to owners and trustees on the relevant Acts and procedural matters of meetings;
- Attending trustee and general meetings as required and preparing minutes for circulation and attending to items arising from the minutes;
- Preparation of annual budgets;
- Sourcing of insurance quotes for the client and liaising with brokers and Insurers;
- Responsible for administrating the schemes on behalf of the Trustees;
- Portfolio Administration: Bodies Corporate, Homeowners Associations, and other community schemes;
- Working closely with Trustees in order to manage the scheme.
Communication
- Ensure an effective communication strategy with trustees / owners;
- Communication with all role players where required, including notices of Trustees Meetings and Annual General Meetings and the Minutes thereof;
Repairs & Maintenance
- Assist and liaise with relevant contractors where necessary in order to assist the completion of repairs & maintenance tasks;
- Liaise with relevant contractors so that the relevant quotes are tabled for approval at meetings and the most recent updates are provided at Trustee or other meetings.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and maintain a high level of organisation;
- Detail-oriented, effective problem-solving skills and the ability to show initiative;
- Diligence and good work ethic.
- Matric/Grade 12 is a requirement;
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a similar role;
- Degree/Diploma in Property, Finance or Legal and familiarity with the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act, is advantageous;
- Paddocks Sectional Title Course is preferred;
- Knowledge and understanding of the Sectional Titles Act, CSOS Act;
- Knowledge of MDA Property Manager and WeConnectU is advantageous.
