PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team of Independent Contractors to identify and optimise high-potential sales opportunities. The role focuses on driving quality sales of legal expenses insurance and funeral cover products, while ensuring full compliance with FAIS regulations and adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth within government and private sector organisations, particularly those offering salary deduction facilities
- Plan and execute worksite marketing initiatives, including appointment setting and on-site engagement
- Manage and utilise the company vehicle for transporting Independent Contractors and facilitating sales activities
- Ensure the sales team consistently meets and exceeds monthly sales targets
- Recruit, train, coach, and support Independent Contractors to maintain a high-performing team (target: 90% retention)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with FAIS regulations, internal policies, and TCF principles
- Foster a customer-centric culture that prioritises ethical conduct and acting in the best interests of clients
MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- A relevant qualification in Sales or Marketing Management will be advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience within the insurance sector
- At least 1 year’s experience managing a team of Independent Contractors
- Proven track record in the stop order market
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, motivate teams, and drive performance
- Completed FSB Regulatory Exam (advantageous)

Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Must be willing to relocate at own cost
