Vacancy: Quantity Surveyor (Building & Infrastructure)
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Agility Projects & Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of building maintenance, refurbishment and construction projects.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in quantity surveying on building and infrastructure projects.
- Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, procurement, valuations, contract administration and final accounts.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, bills of quantities (BOQs), cost control and project financial management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, BOQs and project budgets.
- Measure and value construction works.
- Manage project costs and monitor expenditure.
- Prepare interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
- Evaluate quotations and assist with procurement.
- Ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
