Butchery equipment technician
- Perform regular
maintenance and servicing of meat processing equipment, including band
saws, mincers, sausage fillers, and blenders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose,
- and repair mechanical and electrical faults on meat processing machinery.
- Conduct preventative
maintenance (PM) to ensure equipment operates efficiently and minimizedowntime.
set up new meat processing equipment.safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards in all maintenanceactivities.of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.commissioning and decommissioning of machinery during plant shutdowns ornew equipment installations.during equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.production teams to resolve equipment-related issues and optimizeperformance.of machinery and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary.and tools are available and maintain proper stock levels.quality assurance protocols while handling and maintaining meat processingequipment.installations and relocations, ensuring proper setup and functionality.schedules and provide detailed reports to management on equipment statusand improvements.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Meat
Equipment Technician or in a similar role within the food processing industry.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with meat processing equipment such as band saws, sausage fillers, mincers, and blenders.
Knowledge of PLC systems and variable speed drives (VSDs) used in meat processing equipment.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations within the meat processing industry.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.·
Certification or qualification in a related field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar).
Must be willing to work flexible hours,including weekends or shift work, as required.
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of health and safety procedures in industrial settings.
