WPM Consulting (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified, experienced, and safety-conscious Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and testing on low-voltage electrical systems while ensuring full compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess the following qualifications and valid certifications:
- Trade Test Certificate as a Qualified Electrician.
- Valid Prepaid Training Certificates:
- OTO 06A
- OTO 06E
- OTO 06G
- Valid LV Regulation/Authorisation:
- LVOR001 Regulation Certificate or
- Valid LV Authorisation Certificate
- Valid Work on Energised LV Network Certificate (L3E 06).
- Valid driver's licence (Code B or higher).
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant electrical maintenance and installation experience.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics on low-voltage electrical systems.
- Safely perform work on energised LV networks in accordance with authorised procedures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Complete job cards, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately.
- Identify and report potential hazards and equipment defects.
- Maintain electrical tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Participate in standby duties and emergency call-outs when required.
