Position Purpose
The Student Liaison Officer is responsible for monitoring student wellbeing, attendance, conduct, and overall engagement, identifying barriers to learning and coordinating appropriate interventions to improve retention, performance, and completion rates. The role also ensures compliance with organisational policies, funding requirements and relevant legislative and regulatory standards, while fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Core activities
- Regular support/counselling sessions with students, including group work and individual sessions, throughout the duration of the programme
- Compile, maintain and report on student data, including wellness and academic progress, using various tracking and monitoring tools
- Maintain current process notes through detailed records
- Monitor attendance and assignment completion, in collaboration with lecturers/instructors
- Work closely with lecturers/instructors when applicable to ensure student success
- Assist with marketing, recruitment and selection of students, according to the selection process and criteria
- Facilitate Life Skills sessions
- Maintain relationships with NGO (regional) and industry
- Assist with On the Job (OJT) placement, monitoring and evaluation
- Discuss, monitor and implement varies policies and procedures related to students
- Apply to the Code of Ethics of the Professional Council in areas of responsibility
Education Requirements
- Relevant Qualification and valid registration with relevant Council
- Bachelor of Social Work or;
- Professional Bachelor of Psychology or;
- Bachelor Honours degree equivalent to the BPsych degree
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 year relevant experience
