To monitor fore bay level, main pumps, pump outputs, destination station, pump efficiencies and to capture all information as required by the shift supervisor for compilation of daily and monthly reports.
• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)/ Related N3/ NQF 4 Water and Wastewater Treatment process control • 2 years’ previous water purification plant experience • Computer literacy • Driver's license with the ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driver test • National Diploma in Water Care/ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering will serve as an added advantage • Process Controller Classification as per DWS regulation will be added advantage
The critical functions will include: • Starting and stopping of pumps, following the required operations procedure. • Monitoring of pump performance and taking daily readings • Reporting defects on the plant on time to ensure plant availability • Changeover of standby plant as per schedule •Ensure pump available for maintenance when requested• Ensure the working environment is safe and comply with occupational health and safety regulations. • Ensure the ISO requirements are met and complied with at all times
• Operating of HV and LV electrical equipment and large pumping units • Basic knowledge of OHS Act and its applications • Basic knowledge and application of ISO requirements
