Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Introduction
WBHO Construction Western Cape is seeking an experienced, confident, vibrant, and energetic individual to join our team as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within our Building Division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to grow within one of South Africa’s leading construction companies.
Duties & Responsibilities
Technical Skills
Experience in managing projects valued over R100 million
Ability to lead and manage a team
Proficiencies
Preparing Subcontractor orders
Preparing and submitting monthly valuations
Take-offs and measurement from drawings
Understanding of preambles and standard measurement systems
Preparing and submitting subcontractor and supplier payments
Solid knowledge of construction processes and liaising with specialist consultants
Managing
Subcontractor adjudications, appointments, and claims
Skilled in financial and commercial processes, including:
Cashflows, budgets, cost reports, etc.
Familiar with various standard contract forms:
JBCC
NEC
FIDIC
MBSA

A genuine passion for construction and continuous learning
Desired Experience & Qualification
Academic Qualifications
Acquired one of the following qualifications for higher.
BSc Quantity Surveying,
BSc Construction
BTech Quantity Surveying, or
BSc in Property Development
Work Experience
10–15 years of industry experience, including time at either:
A professional PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) firm, and/or
A reputable construction company
Software Proficiency
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
CCS (Candy)
Other Requirements
Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
Willing to travel and work away from home as per project requirements
