Job Description:
Being able to teach the CAPS curriculum, ensuring learners understand the subject content and concepts in line with the ATP's. Expose learners to broad spectrum of teaching which may include e-learning and power point resources in lessons. Be creative and interactive during lessons. Communication is key between teacher and learners of what you expect and what you teach. A bit of creativity will go a long way to help engage learners.
Good classroom discipline is key to having teacher / learner respect. Having good communication skills with parents, in person and on email is a must. Be proficient with Microsoft Office and able to use Google Classroom and D6+. Work independently and within a team. Assist with extra mural activities after school.
Administration Requirements:
Submit daily, weekly and termly lesson plans. Keep admin files up to date. Be able to setup learner exams, assessments and assignments and record learner marks, keep track of learners’ progress. Check and mark learners' books. Record learner attendance and absenteeism. Keep record of learners' discipline in line with our Code of Conduct. Be able to communicate with parents on email and in person. Attend staff meetings, workshops or training when required.
