Job Description
The Purchasing department of Robert Bosch in Midrand is looking to employ a 'Junior Commodity Buyer' as part of their team.
Responsibilities will also include some support for Bosch in Ghana.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Ensure that Robert Bosch purchasing processes are followed

Contact suppliers to execute requirements, get and compare the quotations from suppliers

Establish contracts with suppliers, negotiate prices and conditions

Responsible for indirect purchasing for Ghana

Process purchase orders within SAP
-
Prepare and send purchase order, follow up with the suppliers and deliver the supplies to the requestor

Conduct and support supplier decisions and awarding
-
Conducting RfQ (request for quotation), validation and comparison
-
Conduct negotiation and contracting according to material group bundling level, reach purchasing ratio target, optimize costs
-
Continuous assessment of suppliers’ performance, contracts, and price negotiations

Conduct and coordinate sourcing activities (new project, localization, 2nd sourcing…), cooperate with buyers in other African countries

Secure early involvement by the internal business partner (requestors)

In case of regular supplies, contact suppliers to get an annual quotation for entering into an annual contract
Qualifications
EDUCATION
-
University degree in Economics/Commercial sciences or related field.
EXPERIENCE
-
Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role in a comparable multi-national company.
SKILLS
-
Excellent organization and communication skills in English
-
Computer literate with very good skills in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook,
-
Excellent knowledge of SAP system

Good team player
