We are looking for highly motivated and commercially minded Sales Development Representatives (SDR) with a Strong interest in Cybersecurity to join our Cape Town team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers while developing a deep understanding of cybersecurity challenges, industry trends, and security solutions. This role is ideal for an individual with some prior experience in outbound calling looking to build a long-term career within the cybersecurity industry.
Success in this role requires resilience, curiosity, and the ability to handle objections while maintaining focus and momentum.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and research potential customers and target accounts.
- Generate qualified leads through outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
- Qualify prospects based on business needs, budget, authority, and timing.
- Understanding prospects’ IT environments, cybersecurity needs, and business priorities
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
- Schedule meetings and demos for Account Executives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales activities.
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and lead nurturing.
Following up with prospects after meetings or marketing events

Required skills and experience:
- Previous experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing roles preferred.
- Proven ability to independently source and generate leads using tools such as LinkedIn and online research
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and technology.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and translate them into business value.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable.
- Eager to learn, open to feedback, and committed to continuous development.
