MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To start a SAICA Training contract and gain experience as a Trainee Auditor, en route to a CA qualification.
ROLE: We are seeking an individual committed to completing the 3-year SAICA traineeship required to become a chartered accountant (CA(SA)).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts full statutory audits on small to medium-sized and large-sized firms in the private and public sectors.
- Prepares financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Private Companies, Close Corporations and Trusts and group consolidations.
- Calculates taxes payable by Individuals, Companies, and Trusts.
- Advises clients on requested tax issues such as the treatment of VAT, Fringe benefits, dividend tax issues and the research and development process.
- Liaises with the executive members of clients at the planning, during and concluding stages of an audit engagement.
- Completing assigned accounting tasks accurately and efficiently
- Working collaboratively with team members on various projects
- Developing a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Participating in training sessions and professional development opportunities
Minimum Requirements
- SAICA Accredited B. Com Degree – Completed (Non-negotiable)
- CTA/PGDA registration and enrolment or plan to complete such in the near future.
- Must be available to start immediately.
- Must be willing to travel to clients.
Package & Remuneration
CTC +/- R138 000 per annum. Benefits included in CTC are CAMAF Medical Aid and Old Mutual Risk Life benefits
