Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural engineering drawings and construction documentation.
- Assist with the structural design and analysis of a wide range of projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the design and construction process.
- Assist with the coordination of multidisciplinary projects and resolve technical queries during construction.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural engineering.
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Sound understanding of structural engineering principles, reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, etc.
- Good knowledge of South African building regulations and relevant SANS codes.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Project Experience
Experience in two or more of the following project sectors will be advantageous:
- Residential developments
- Commercial buildings
- Industrial facilities
- Educational facilities
- Healthcare facilities
- Warehouses and manufacturing plants
Software Requirements
Proficiency in the following software is required:
- CADDIE and/or AutoCAD
- Prokon
- Autodesk Revit
- Padds
- Experience with additional structural analysis and BIM software will be advantageous.
Pay: R40 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
