Responsible for the operation and supervision of the retail shop, food & beverage experience which includes the picnics. Plans and directs the day-to-day operations. Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive Retail, Food and Beverage sales, increase profitability, create policies and programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high standards and conditions and foster a positive environment. To consistently exceed guest expectations and provide the highest levels of product and services, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Business Performance:
Maximize performance and profitability of ALL outlets ( farm café, farm shop, Wines food experience & Picnics, by maintaining the highest standards, reducing wastage and misuse of products and maximizing sales by training & leading the team.
Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
Guests and Customers:
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service.
Exceed guest expectations by facilitating, leading and mentoring a team that is driven for excellence and consistency in their delivery.
Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and current customers and other stakeholders.
Accountable for ensuring availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories.
Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
Markets merchandise by studying advertising, merchandising activities, sales promotion, and display plans.
Propose innovative ideas to increase buying.
Staffing
Forecast staffing needs to provide optimal staffing in all areas.
Sets a positive example for and maintains a good working relationship with fellow team members.
Responsible for giving directions and on the job training to all werf staff regarding service procedures, systems, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
Conduct interviews and performance appraisals, build productivity within the team.
Performance will be measured against set goals/projects and the delivery of those goals and projects within the set deadlines and budget constraints.
Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and departmental SOP’s.
Process routine tasks and responsibilities as necessary
Ensure the highest standards of service are provided with confidence and enthusiasm.
