We are looking for a friendly, organised, and professional Administrative Assistant Intern to join our team.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the office by assisting with reception duties, administrative tasks, recruitment support, research, and general office coordination. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop practical workplace skills in a fast-paced and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors, students, clients, and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage the reception area and ensure all visitors sign in and are directed appropriately.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure both physical and digital filing systems remain organised and up to date.
- Prepare and distribute daily attendance and activity reports.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and interviews.
- Prepare meeting rooms and refreshments, including tea and coffee, when required.
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, printing, document preparation, and data capturing.
- Assist management with administrative and organisational tasks.
- Respond to general enquiries from students, visitors, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and maintaining recruitment records.
- Conduct research as required to support company projects and initiatives.
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and professional reception and office environment.
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Advantageous: Diploma or Degree (completed) in Business Administration, Office Administration, Human Resources, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and friendly customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
