You have in-depth mastery of one technical process and maintains that process using progressive maintenance standards, troubleshooting on multiple processes and issues when necessary. You also lead at least one standard work process for your team.
How you will contribute
Without you, we could not deliver high-quality snacks to our customers. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed, and that quality assurance activities are performed. You will take an active role in shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.

Phase 2 tools including AM Step 4, working principle, general inspection, focused improvement 12 steps, and quality management Steps 3-6

Leading a standard work process using a plan-do-check-adjust approach
More about this role
This is a role where you will own the technology, maintenance, process and setting of the equipment for the line. You will possess deep expertise and will be viewed as the technology expert of the line that you are responsible.
What you need to know about this position:
The successful candidate for this role must be able to:

Partner with & enable the line leader to deliver the SQCDSM targets-Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure Process stability; Participate in the DMS- Daily Management systems meetings at the shift and line level

Own the technology, process and centerline settings for the equipment. You will have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment; own the Progressive maintenance systems and work processes.

Develop, own and execute the line/s preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans and build capability of the line team enabling them to troubleshoot and execute themselves; Build technical and maintenance skills of the process operators, so that they are able to operate and maintain their equipment themselves; be part of the PM Pillar, own all PM systems and work process at the line level and lead some of them at the department level.

Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvement and execution of special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management on the line, or localization of spares and proper break-down analysis and R&M cost reduction for the line.

Assist in VSU for the new initiatives and enables the VSU team; help the line leader in internal and external benchmarking and reapplication; be the subject matter expert on one of the component categories and will be a trainer of PM related subjects for the plant.

Education / Certifications and Experience Required:
An essential pre-requisite to your application would be Matric/Grade 12
Trade Test would be advantageous.
3-5 Years working experience in a similar manufacturing/production environment

Advanced knowledge & skill to maintain the dedicated equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (BD-Breakdown maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment and TPM utilizing Phase 3 & 4 problem solving tools.

The capability to take a lead role on the Line. Qualify and coach the next level SWP owners and drive the common opportunity areas across the line in PDCA-Plan Do Check Adjust approach.

The capability to work with the Line Leader in developing and aligning and achieving the master plan for the line.
