A Wholesale Distribution Company is looking to appoint a Fleet Manager to run their Control Room Department:
Primary Purpose of Position:
- Implement procedures to ensure effective Fleet Camera Monitoring.
- Proposing and Implementing Operational Systems to optimize fleet operations to improve overall business operations.
- Minimize Risk by monitoring, establishing and proposing remedial action for the fleet.
- Tracking vehicle locations by GPS system.
- Monitoring driver performance.
- Answering driver calls and assist where required.
- Identifying on-road exceptions and taking immediate remedial action.
- Co-ordinating and responding to emergency situations.
- Liaising with drivers, operations personnel and management.
- Develop and Implement appropriate measures to ensure operational improvement and efficiency through the use of the control room department, ensuring faster turnaround times and improving customer service delivery.
- Assist with the checking of stock before dispatch to ensure load accuracy of picked items.
- Assist with checking back trucks upon return from deliveries.
- Assist with cash-up procedures as and when required.
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Matric
- 3 or more years of experience working in a similar and relevant position and environment.
- Strong understanding of maps and giving accurate directions.
- Ability to learn new computers and systems fast.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: R21 197,64 per month
