About the Role
At Life Choices Academy, we equip young people with the technical, professional and personal skills needed to enter both the digital and green economies. We are looking for an energetic, relationship-driven outbound Placement Engagement Lead to help connect our graduates with meaningful employment opportunities.
This outbound role focuses on proactively engaging employers, identifying opportunities, building relationships and creating a consistent pipeline of warm leads that result in internships and employment opportunities for our trainees.
The successful candidate will enjoy speaking to people, be comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and emails, and thrive in a target-driven environment where relationship-building creates real social impact.
Purpose of the Role
To identify, engage and nurture employer relationships that generate internship and employment opportunities for Life Choices Academy graduates.
The role is responsible for building a healthy pipeline of employment prospects through consistent outbound engagement and supporting the conversion of these opportunities into successful placements by the Placement Team.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployer Outreach
- Conduct proactive outbound engagement with prospective employers via phone, email, LinkedIn and other communication channels.
- Identify companies with current or future hiring needs.
- Introduce Life Choices Academy and its skills-for-employment programmes.
- Generate qualified employer leads for the placement pipeline.
- Build long-term relationships with hiring managers and HR professionals.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Research companies and identify suitable employment opportunities.
- Build and maintain an active employer details through our database systems
- Qualify opportunities before handing them over to the Placement Team.
- Keep employer information accurate and up to date within the CRM.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of warm employer leads.
Employer Relationship Management
- Schedule introductory meetings between employers and Placement Officers.
- Conduct follow-up communication to maintain employer engagement.
- Share programme updates and graduate availability.
- Support employer retention through regular relationship touchpoints.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor hiring trends within the ICT and digital sectors.
- Identify industries showing growth and recruitment demand.
- Recommend new sectors and employer segments for outreach.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate activity records.
- Track outbound communication metrics.
- Produce weekly pipeline reports.
- Ensure all employer interactions are logged.
Minimum RequirementsEssential
- 2+ years' experience in an outbound sales, business development, recruitment or employer engagement role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident in making high volumes of outbound calls.
- Strong relationship-building ability.
- Comfortable working towards activity and performance targets.
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite programs and CRM systems.
Advantageous
- Experience within youth employment or skills development.
- Experience engaging HR teams or hiring managers.
- Recruitment agency experience.
- Experience in the ICT, technology or training sectors.
- LinkedIn outreach experience.
