Hotel in the Brackenfell / Stellenbosch area is looking for a Senior Night Auditor. The purpose of this job is to support the management team in delivering successful operations, achieving the hotel objectives and improving profitability.
Responsible for many end-of-day tasks, including processing guest payments, balancing reports, reconciling the cash drawers at the front desk, and preparing invoices for the following day. The Night auditor will do wake up calls, check out guests who depart early in the morning, arrange transportation, provide area recommendations, and perhaps even assist with room service orders at the beginning of breakfast service.
Responsibilities:

Liaise and communicate courteously with guests.

Ensuring smooth running of the Front office/ Guest relations department during the shift.

Audit all daily revenue reports to ensure all income pertaining to each unit has been accounted for correctly and in accordance with company guidelines.

Responsible for preparation and processing of all reports generated i.e. Daily handovers

Perform end-of-day accounting tasks and overnight front desk duties.

Assist with late-night guests, process check-ins and check-outs, and address other customer requests.

Audit, reconcile, and balance daily financial activities.

Assist with reservation bookings when required.

Deliver positive and timeously response to guest enquiries and problem resolution.

Ensuring cost and inventory control, posting daily room and outstanding charges.

Preparing and examining financial records and accurately submitting reports to ensure that handover is done properly.

Balancing all totals for cash and credit cards and running end of day reports

Prepare and distribute various reports to stakeholders.
Requirements:

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent

Proven experience as a Night auditor or similar. Preferably in the hotel industry

Experience with hotel reservations software- advantageous

OPERA Experience is essential

MS Office proficient

Experience with Accounting procedures and administrative tasks are essential
