Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Foundation Phase IsiZulu Teacher to join our team at Pinnacle College Founders Hill. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in IsiZulu and a deep understanding of the foundation phase curriculum. The teacher will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment for young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the foundation phase curriculum and incorporate IsiZulu language and culture
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents and school administration
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Stay updated on best practices in language teaching and incorporate new techniques in the classroom
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Qualified teacher status (PGCE or equivalent)
- SACE
- Fluency in IsiZulu and a strong understanding of its grammar and syntax
- Experience teaching IsiZulu in a foundation phase setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
- Passion for education and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for students
