As a sales assistant, you are responsible for producing excellent customer service.
This involves everything from selling products, handling payments to dealing with
customers and making sure that the products are attractively displayed. Your role is
to help customers find the products they want and ensure sales targets are met. You
will be able to offer advice and answer questions, not just about the store’s products
and prices but also issues like stock availability or any special promotions that may
be running. You will also arrange ordering and delivery. You should be aware that as
a sales assistant you may be required to lift and carry items of stock, and will spend
long periods standing on your feet Processing transactions Communicating with
customers Cleanliness and upkeep of Store standards Displaying stock, and
replenishment Have a polite and approachable manner Carry yourself as an
ambassador of the brand. Ensure a friendly atmosphere is kept within the store
daily Have an interest in the products being sold General administration Provide
sales, stock and order reports Contact clients for any enquiries and keeping them
updated on their orders Daily administration. Obtain items needed within the store
Reflect brand values through how you carry yourself daily. Handle customer
complaints. Send daily, weekly and monthly reports. Cold calling to prospective
clients. Keeping customers updated on their orders or requests. Administration & co
ordination of marketing. Travelling between company offices or operational locations
as per business needs. Communication with suppliers & service providers. Financial
record keeping of cash up reports and capturing of basic store costs. and any other
tasks necessary for the conduct of the employer's business, as the employer may
from time to time direct. Provide daily and weekly reports on sales and store related
