Junior Draughtsman
Duties:
# Assist with drafting of system plans.
# Perform drawings of new and existing products, revise drawings and parts.
# Assist design engineering team with site visits.
#Compile bills of material and quantities, do costing and procedure samples of products.
# Work closely with the sales department to bring concepts to the design stage through to
manufacturing.
# Work closely with the factory from design to manufacturing stage.
# Record information and procedure relevant drawings.
# Meeting the client’s expectations by producing high quality plans for tenders.
# To assist in developing and estimating business processes that will ensure applicability at
the project level
#To actively participate in the management of various tenders
# To conceptualize layouts for the project and review all estimates before they are being
submitted
# To closely monitor the results of the tenders and update them in the tender register
# Assist the Capture/Sales Team Leader in managing and directing all proposal efforts and
personnel
# Participate in the development and review of proposal strategies and themes, and
manage the development of a Proposal Management Plan (PMP)
# Direct the creation and review of a proposal outline that will be used as a key document
design and control medium
# Build the proposal compliance matrix and track the fulfilment of all requirements
# Conduct regular proposal progress status meetings and maintain the proposal schedule
# Provide functional support and responsibility for multiple projects and provide managerial
responsibility for the Department Operations
# Coordinating multiple estimates simultaneously as well as review responsibility for
multiple estimates or large estimates
# Establishing and maintaining an estimating department evaluation procedures
# Establish and maintaining department resource library
# Reviewing project to develop win strategy
# Reviewing pricing and scheduling
# Establishing and maintaining relationships with owners, consultants, subs and suppliers
# Reviewing project cost reports
# Developing and maintaining estimating systems and procedures
Educational Qualification
Must have a Valid Matric Certificates
Relevant qualification is essential.
Experience in the Engineering industry essential
Valid Driver's License
Minimum of (2) Two years working as Draughtsman
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R10 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Germiston, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
