Curro is seeking to appoint a a Specialist: Network Architect.

Key performance areas
- Work alongside different business leaders and units in order to design solutions that achieve business goals while also working within existing and/or legacy systems.
- Network & Security Specialists establish network specifications by consulting with end-users.
- Analyze workflow and security requirements and design router administration.
- Look at network performance issues such as availability, latency, utilization, and throughput. Installing, configuring and testing equipment, establishing connections, firewalls and defining the policies and procedures of the network are also key duties in this area.
- Maintain the network once it is established.
- Network monitoring and analysis.
- Troubleshooting network problems and ultimately enhancing performance for users via performance tuning.
- Refer to the vendor all issues that cannot be solved on the Network Specialist’s end.
- Network security.
- Implement secure network access protocols and then monitor and evaluate them for issues.
- Prepare users to utilize the network safely by conducting relevant training sessions and providing helpful references and easily accessible support.
- Upgrade the network & security platforms.
- Upgrades by consulting with vendors about products to determine which ones would be best to purchase/roll-out.
- Test, evaluate, and install network & security enhancements to ensure that they are the best choices.
- Perform upgrades after hours following set change control regulations.
- Keep updated on knowledge in their field of expertise.
- Participate in relevant educational opportunities such as live classes and webinars, read professional publications, network with other professionals, and maintain active memberships in professional organizations.
- Assistance with technical queries and investigations on the Curro applications and software.
- Management and prioritization the team’s workload.
- Identification of training needs within team, coordinating or delivering appropriate training.
- Coordination and leadership of daily team sessions to review productivity.
- Escalation points within the team for ongoing issues.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose technical issues with software platforms.
- Identify trends in repeat support issues.
- Understand SLA requirements.
- Manage all tickets to SLA requirements.
- Advise on any issues that were not resolved in SLA.
- Identify trends in queries and issues and advise to supervisor.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- Relevant degree and certifications
- Relevant experience as a Network Architect
