Bookkeeper (Australian Market Experience Required)
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who can work independently, identify process improvements, and take ownership of the bookkeeping function.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and reconciliations while supporting the business with accurate and timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Client invoicing
- Processing creditor invoices and managing payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Cash flow reporting and analysis
- Advanced Excel reporting and data management
- Gross Profit (GP) reconciliations
- End-of-month (EOM) processing
- Management reporting
- Client reporting
- Assisting with Australian tax compliance requirements, including GST and Payroll Tax
- Potential involvement in payroll processing in the future
Minimum Requirements
- 3 to 5+ years' bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Proven experience in end-of-month processing and management reporting
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and reconciliations
- Experience using Xero
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Essential: Previous Australian bookkeeping experience
- Experience handling Australian financial requirements, including GST and Payroll Tax
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a senior-level Bookkeeper who is confident working independently and can take ownership of the role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable making recommendations to improve processes and efficiencies while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
Remuneration
- Salary: R25,000 per month (negotiable), depending on experience and qualifications.
