Technical Project Manager – IT / Software Development

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology and software development initiatives on a fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing technical projects, working with cross-functional teams and coordinating delivery across Technology, Product, QA and Business stakeholders. You should be comfortable working in Agile environments and have a strong understanding of technical project dependencies, risks and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex technology and software development projects from initiation through to delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders.
- Translate product vision into project plans, scope, technical requirements and delivery milestones.
- Lead Agile/Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and project governance.
- Track project progress, risks, dependencies, resources, scope and timelines.
- Provide project reporting and delivery updates to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical dependencies, risks and delivery challenges.
- Coordinate third-party vendors, technical partners and external consultants where required.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Requirements
- 5–10 years' experience in project management, programme delivery or engineering leadership within telecoms, technology or software development.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Strong experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Kanban delivery.
- Advanced experience with project management and governance tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, Azure DevOps or MS Project.
- Proven experience delivering projects as an independent contractor or external consultant is advantageous.
- Strong risk management, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to understand technical architecture and software development requirements at a high level.
Advantageous
- PMP, PRINCE2 or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
- AWS or Azure cloud certification.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines or cloud migration projects.
- Understanding of data architecture, cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
