Senior Professional Officer - Data Analyst
Requirements
- A relevant tertiary qualification (honours or 4-year degree) in the
Information and Communications Technology field
- 5 - 8 years’ relevant experience required of which 2 must be at
senior level
- Ability to analyse and interpret large data sets using analytical
methods
- Proficiency with Scripting languages (SQL, Python and R) & Data
Visualisation tools (Power BI, SuperSet) is highly recommended
- Experience with SAP & GIS will be beneficial
- A valid EB (08) driver’s licence
Key Performance Areas
- Translates data into valuable insights and solutions that inform
decisions through data analysis, data cleansing and enrichment,
data visualisation, data quality assurance, statistical methods
and analysis
- Ensures data analysis capability development by continuously
developing data analysis knowledge and sharing practices across
departments
- Manages the data management function across the Recreation
and Parks Department
- Collaborates and works with professionals, technologists and
analysts in the organisation to produce, transform and test new
scalable data products that meet user needs
- Provides on-going analytical support to Recreation and Parks
decision makers
- Conducts research in various areas for constant and proactive
improvement of the data products and the data analytics domain
- Provides logical, creative and innovative problem-solving
techniques
to mitigates potential risk areas
- Manages, develops and implements multiple high risk, complex
projects or minor to medium sized programmes
- Provides project management expertise to ensure projects are
executed, monitored and delivered on time
