Delivery Driver & General Assistant (Code 08 with PDP)
A well-established coffee company based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and responsible Delivery Driver & General Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers while assisting with general warehouse and in-house operational duties when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all road traffic laws and regulations.
- Complete daily deliveries accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Load, transport, and offload products with care to ensure goods arrive in excellent condition.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checking fuel, oil, tyres, lights, and reporting any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Keep the company vehicle clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times.
- Obtain customer signatures and ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately.
- Assist with warehouse duties, including packing orders, receiving stock, stock control, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Follow company policies and health and safety procedures at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code 08 driver's licence.
- Proven driving experience with a clean driving record.
- Good knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock when required.
- Honest, punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
Preferred:
- Residing in or near Paarden Eiland, Milnerton, Brooklyn, Maitland, or surrounding areas.
- Previous experience in a delivery driver, warehouse, or logistics role will be advantageous.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
