The Group Communications and Investor Relations Specialist is responsible for ensuring effective information flow between the listed company and all its stakeholders that include staff, host communities, joint venture partners as well as with its shareholders and prospective investors. To this end, the incumbent is responsible for preparing corporate communication that accurately reflects the company’s performance, strategy, vision and value proposition and ensuring that the communication is presented in suitable communication styles for the diverse target audiences.
The Group Communications and Investor Relations Specialist is required to analyse market and investment information as input into decision making and investor preparation activities. The role must support the team in preparing periodic reports including quarterly, half yearly and annual reports as well as preparing presentations, fact sheets and investor related material.
The role supports the CEO in coordinating and preparing for investor meetings, conferences, roadshows, webinars and media interviews. Knowledge of ASX and/or SENS regulatory reporting standards will be a strong advantage. The role is hands-on and requires very good written and desktop publishing skills.
Minimum Qualifications

A tertiary qualification in a mining related discipline with good exposure to mining economics, mine finance and resource investment is preferable.

Strong written communications and digital media skills or qualification in corporate communication field.

Ability to be calm and productive when operating under deadline stress.

A team player with strong inter-personal skills

Being presentable and well-spoken is a strong recommendation.

Dedicated, committed and hardworking, willing to work long hours when required to meet reporting/presentation deadlines.
Minimum Experience
-
Minimum of seven years’ experience in the corporate communications and investor relations field

Must have experience in the minerals, exploration and mining environment

Experience in communication requirements for listed companies (ASX or SENS)

Must be proficient in English and Afrikaans

Experience, knowledge and understanding of investment markets and dynamics
Responsibilities

Assists with the development of an investor relations strategy and framework
-
Coordinates communications and investor strategy implementation across the company

Provides insights on market activity, including conducting market research and analytics

Coordinates logistics associated with investor conferences, meetings and road shows.

Investor engagements and support, including responding to investor inquiries.

Produces internal and external reports, including quarterly and annual reports with input from technical and financial management team and coordinating third party contribution for document preparation.

Prepares corporate communication documents and messaging, including stock exchange releases

Provide support to the CEO in terms of collateral development (e.g. presentations, reports etc)

Represents the company with external stakeholders as required.
