Phalusa Enterprise (Pty) Ltd is seeking 4 Certified Working at Heights Technicians to join our team for an upcoming project. The successful candidates must possess a valid Working at Heights certificate and be capable of working safely in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
This is a permanent position subject to the successful award of a tender, with the possibility of future opportunities based on performance and project requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Working at Heights Certificate (mandatory and must be certified)
- Previous experience working at heights in industrial, construction, port, or plant environments
- Medically fit to work at heights
- Knowledge of fall protection systems and safe work procedures
- Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Valid South African ID or legal authorization to work in South Africa
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work safely at elevated heights using approved fall protection equipment.
- Conduct pre-use inspections of harnesses, lanyards, and other height safety equipment.
- Follow all site-specific safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas.
- Comply with all company and client safety policies.
Advantageous
- Valid driver's licence
- Experience in port, industrial, or plant environments
- Additional safety certifications such as Fall Arrest Rescue, First Aid, or Fire Fighting
