About the role:
As a member of our Audit CoE, you will work on a wide range of clients, from large listed companies to small, privately owned businesses, all within the firm. You will be involved in five key sections of each audit: bank and cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, property, plant and equipment, and payroll. Our strategy focuses on centralising, standardising, and automating testing to ensure efficiency and consistency across the firm.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across South Africa, both on-site and in remote working environments.
- Collaborate with audit teams and other lines of service during secondments.
- Maintain regular client communication through virtual platforms (calls, emails, and system interactions) and face-to-face meetings during secondments.
- Work closely with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) manager and a dedicated team of three to four professionals on a monthly basis to ensure seamless project execution.
- Achieve and document all requisite competencies for South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) accreditation within a three-year timeframe.

- While the team primarily operates remotely, staff members are expected to work on-site twice weekly, specifically on Mondays and Thursdays. Additionally, team members may be required to visit client sites for on-site engagements as needed
- We provide specialist services to engagement teams, supplementing their team to complete the audit
Client engagement:
- Our Virtual Financial Services (VFS) team focuses exclusively on clients within the financial services sector.
- We specialise in the following areas: retirement funds, medical schemes, insurance, and asset and wealth management.
Day-to-day activities:
- A mix of virtual and an in-person working environment

Requirements
- Must have completed your undergraduate degree in record time.
- Be in your first attempt of CTA/PGDA or have passed CTA/PGDA.
- Be willing to complete a three-year employment contract for SAICA articles in the Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE) / Independent Review Center of Excellence (IR COE) / Virtual Financial Services Remote Team Member Programme (VFS) team.
- If you fail CTA, you must be willing to repeat and complete it simultaneously through distance learning, while working through your first year of articles.
