The Occupational Health Technician will be responsible for conducting occupational medical screening tests, including audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and drug testing. These medical assessments will be conducted at both the company's offices and client sites. The successful candidate will ensure accurate testing, maintain confidentiality, and support occupational health surveillance programmes.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Conduct occupational health screening tests, including:
o Audiometry
o Spirometry
o Vision Screening
o Drug and Alcohol Testing
o Other occupational health assessments as required.
· Prepare and assist employees before and during medical screenings.
· Ensure all medical equipment is calibrated, maintained, and used according to the required standards.
· Accurately capture, record, and report medical screening results.
· Maintain confidential employee medical records and ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.
· Assist with occupational health surveillance programmes and employee wellness initiatives.
· Maintain an organised filing system and submit reports within required timeframes.
· Ensure testing areas are clean, organised, and fully equipped.
· Travel to client sites to conduct occupational health screenings when required.
· Adhere to all company health, safety, and quality procedures.
Requirements
· Grade 12 (Matric).
· Qualification in Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision Screening.
· Diploma in a relevant field.
· Qualification in Nursing or a related field will be advantageous.
· Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
· Willingness to travel to client sites.
