A leading and renowned financial company based in the Tygervalley Business Hub, is looking for a high performing Accountant to join their vibrant young team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2- 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
You will be responsible for:
Monthly processing accounting records up to trial balance
Reconcile accounts (Bank, VAT, creditors, debtors and salaries and wages)
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Assist with VAT audits
Maintain fixed asset registers
Prepare management reports
Preparing SARS EMP501 reconciliations and submitting on SARS easyfile
Verification of fixed assets
Capturing customer invoices
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and other financial reports
Preparing and drafting annual financial statements
Complete and submit VAT and other statutory reports
Processing the payments and receipts from the bank statements
Performing back reconciliations
Compiling annual financial statements
Verification of fixed assets
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing monthly financial reports
Compiling annual financial statements
All tax work for individuals, corporates and trusts
Payroll Administration
Qualifications:
Matric /Grade 12 Certificate
Degree - B.Acc / B.Com / B.Compt or National Diploma (Financial Accounting)
Completed SAIPA Articles
2 - 3 Years accounting experience
Working knowledge of: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Pastel & CaseWare
Skills:
Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)
Deadline orientated and work well under pressure
Attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Positive and assertive attitude
A good team player
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Must be someone who is bubbly, humorous and pleasant
