Job Description
Primary purpose: To lead business development and client engagements in ESG and Sustainable Finance. Such client engagements / projects may include current state assessments; model reviews and validations; solution / model design, build and implementation.
Secondary purpose: To lead business development and client engagements in other FSA services as outlined above.
Qualifications
You would need to have the following qualifications and experience

CA (SA) or degree / honours/ Masters in Financial Risk Management or a related field.

ESG and Sustainable Finance work experience (Required)
-
Work experience in financial risk management or regulatory environment of a bank (required) or insurer (preferable)
-
Started or completed studies towards CFA, PRM or FRM (preferable)
-
Experience in financial risk management in either a banking (required) or insurance (preferred) entity, e.g. treasury, market risk, credit risk, operational risk, stress testing, risk appetite, economic & regulatory capital, recovery / resolution planning

Experience with governance, policies and controls with respect to financial risk management

What you will do / Specialized Competencies
You will be primarily responsible for leading client engagements and growing the business.

Analyse developments within South Africa and key markets which have a strong influence on local regulatory developments.

Identify clients and sectors impacted by the regulatory developments.

Develop tailored sector and client-specific solutions in response to opportunities identified and assists clients in executing on these.
Through the adoption of a strategic and forward-looking approach, we help our clients understand trends and the changing regulations and the impact that this can have on their strategies and underlying business models. The team possess several experts, who focus on interacting with those individuals at our clients charged with accountability to manage their organisation’s response to changes in financial services environment.
