During the twelve (12) month internship programme, the intern will be allocated assignments that will give him/her exposure and practical experience.
Communications and Fundraising
- Support the Communications and Fundraising activities of AAS.
- Provide support and assistance to the Communications and Fundraising Managers with his/her deliverables in the role.
- Assist with monitoring and updating social media channels of AAS, as required.
- Assist with research where required.
- Assist with compiling and preparing reports, briefs and proposals as required.
- Assist with writing, editing, and preparing articles.
- Assist with compiling content for newsletters, annual reports, brochures, and other promotional materials.
- Assist with database management including the media lists.
- Assist in arranging events and functions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop content that aligns with the organisation’s brand.
- Conceptualise and use creative thinking to create engaging content across a spectrum of channels.
- Arranging of regular Communications and Fundraising meetings with relevant teams.
- Use digital media, including AV and photography, where necessary.
- Assist with Internal Communications messaging and products.
- Administrative communications and fundraising support such as drafting meeting minutes, note-taking, coordination etc.
- Support media library management.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement initiatives.
- Develop communications and internal creative materials where required (some Canva & Adobe).
- Assist on a journalistic level in terms of writing, editing, and preparing articles.
- Perform any other duty as may be allocated by management from time to time.
- Support the UK entity with communications, events and fundraising elements as and when required
Education, Skills, and Experience
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communications
· No prior experience
· Communications knowledge
