The Role
We're growing and want to continue that momentum. Most of the school communities using Classlist are funded by advertising companies on the platform to our engaged parent communities.
As a Sales Development Representative, you'll be responsible for searching online for companies that would be interested in reaching parents at specific school communities from a wide range of sectors - sports clubs, holiday providers, house and home services... the list is endless! Once these companies are found, you'd then work with the rest of the sales team to contact these companies via email to set up meetings/calls with senior members of the team.
The Person
You need to be self-motivated with a desire to continually improve your ways of working. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be resourceful in finding new ways to find companies looking to promote themselves to a parent demographic. In addition, you will need:
- Experience with spreadsheets such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
Experience in the following is a plus:
- Previous roles in sales development
- Using sophisticated CRM systems such as Hubspot or Salesforce
Location
This work will be fully remote but applicants need to be based in Cape Town in South Africa. This is because we already have a number of contractors based in Cape Town, all working from home.
Contract Terms
This is a contract role, not an employed position. Pay rates are 65 ZAR per hour with the option of bonus payments on all sales achieved. A minimum of 25 hours per week is required.
