GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- This position is responsible and accountable for the upkeep of the day to day housekeeping of the factory
- Safety issues and the performance of preventative maintenance.

- .Maintains outputs and quality by monitoring steps of the process, setting processing variables, observing control points, and monitoring that daily check are adhered to
- Responsible for the day to day housekeeping of the Factory
- Will be required to assist controlling costs, machine performance as well as outputs.
- Ensure that all safe working procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that any unsafe practice is identified and reported immediately.
- Record and complete relevant data on specified centreline sheet sheets.
- Will be required to at times stand in for vacancies on shift.
- Spend time in the process and develop him/her self to understand the practical operation of the TM5 machine.

- This individual needs to be motivated, self-driven and a go getter.
- Needs to have good communication skills in English.
- Show the hunger for growth and also have a sense of leadership skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- B Tech in Pulp and Paper Technology with supplementary tertiary management qualifications. Process engineering/ Chemical Engineering background or studying towards it.
1. Enrolment in a Tertiary Institution: The individual should be currently enrolled for P1 & P2 or working towards completion off from an institution pursuing pulp and paper or chemical engineering.
2. Educational Background: A background in pulp and paper or chemical engineering will be beneficial.
3. Technical Skills: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery operation, and quality control procedures will be beneficial. Familiarity with relevant software applications such as DCS, QCS etc for data analysis and reporting may also be beneficial.
4. Availability: The individual should be available to commit to the schedule required by the tissue manufacturing facility. This may include part-time or full-time hours during breaks or semesters, depending on the specific program structure.
5. Physical Requirements: Some roles within a tissue manufacturing facility may involve physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, or operating machinery. The individual should be physically able to perform these tasks safely.
6. Safety Awareness: Awareness of safety protocols and a commitment to following safety regulations is essential in a manufacturing environment. The individual should be willing to undergo safety training and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
7. Teamwork and Communication Skills: Effective communication and the ability to work well in a team are important in a production environment. The individual should be able to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
8. Attention to Detail: Tissue manufacturing often involves processes that require precision and attention to detail to maintain quality standards. The individual should demonstrate an ability to pay attention to detail and perform tasks accurately.
9. Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently or as part of a team is valuable in a manufacturing setting. The individual should demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
