Overview:
Provide annual (plan) scope metrics relevant to the role.
Responsibilities:
Customer
- Ensure customer metrics are achieved through negotiation and delivery of regional elements of joint business plan
- Drive service levels with incremental improvements by working closely with the customer and supply chain teams
- Tailored promotional strategy delivered in line with customer expectations and Pepsico framework
- Manage operational execution through dedicated PFS (Smollans) teams, setting and measuring execution objectives
- Deliver Account ‘Must Win Battles’ through Account Plans
- Skilled Key Accounts Manager to oversee the relationships of PepsiCo within the Pick n Pay Group
- The Key Accounts Manager will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term customers relationships
- Serving as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Execute agreed price inreases
- Execute pricing strategy in accounts and execute pack/price architecture changes. Effectively trade at Store level
- Grow share, range and distribution in line with specific account targets
- Develop regional customer relationships through newly established PnP regional structures
- Manage trade-offs within customers for the greater benefit of Pepsico
- Create a deep understanding of what is needed to execute account plans at regional and store level. Work closely with Regional Support teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Promotional calendars updated weekly across customer base with focus on optimized grids when negotiating
- Accruals for cash and retro spend to be loaded timeously as well as coding of customer claims
- Ranging to be updated and checked weekly with customers to ensure agreed weighted and numeric distribution targets is achieved.
- Forecasting to be concluded with Demand Planning bi-weekly and promo updates, amended in forecast
- NPD listings to be negotiated timeously with Regional Buyers
- Managing of co ad budgets – monthly reviews of spend to be presented and budgets updated to track YTD spend vs Budget
- Negotiating and loading of regional/national deals to be completed on relevant PepsiCo system, timeously
- Pricing claims to be resolved as per audit and control timelines
- Resolving any issues and challanges faced by customers and dealing with complaints to maintain trust
- Playing an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
- Preparing regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
Qualifications:
- Relevant 3 yr tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in Retail Key account Management preferably within the Pick n Pay group will be an advantage
