To manage a team & improve the Division's outputs through operational and planned improvements.
What you'll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Daily liaison with the management team to establish workflow deadlines and completions
- Weekly meeting with the management team to establish following weeks’ outputs
- Keep dispatch area in a clean and organised state at all times
- Establish systems to deal with the frequent arrival of collections vehicles, and loading time slots
- Establish and maintain a system of pre planning for the following days collections /deliveries
- Ensure that Crating & Boxing sections runs in advance of collections and allocate an area for crated/boxed ready to be dispatched goods
- Ensure that each and every collection and delivery Is signed for on a delivery note
- Ensure that work environment conform to safety policies and requirements
- Report incidents within 24 hours
- Ensure that personnel are trained in safety requirements and procedures
- Ensure that forklift is checked daily
- Ensure that required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is used at all times
- Discipline employees according to company disciplinary procedure
- Identify training needs and compile and implement a training plan
