JOB TITLE: Indoor Consultant
JOB DESCRIPTION: To be responsible and accountable for achieving units and average value budget of their department and assisting clients with advice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist customers with advice through continuously updating your product knowledge
- Perform sales in the indoor section in such a way that average value is achieved and maintained
- Assist customers in selecting the right product for his/her need by providing advice
- Assist with the up keeping of standards in the section by checking on watering, sweeping, trimming etc and liaising with the indoor assistants
- Discard of dead plants/fish/broken products where applicable
- Check suppliers’ lists and assist in making choices of requirements
- Assist in the arrangement of weekend supplies
- Enter in 'Order book' what is required for systems clerk to do a purchase order
- Record all customer requests and follow them through with the Indoor Junior Department Manager
- Maintain good customer relations through excellent customer service
- Maintain all displays and merchandise to promote sales
- To be familiar with any Sales Promotion being undergone i.e. advertising and the Stodels Internet site
- Perform any other tasks as required by Senior Management to ensure the continued smooth operation of the company and to meet the company aim of high standards and high customer service
STAFF DEVELOPMENT:
- Develop and train all other staff regularly on all aspects of my work and the company by providing regular feedback whenever possible
- Expected to be familiar with the Stodels Introduction Booklet and Company Philosophy, Customer Service Policy and the Code of Conduct as updated from time to time
- Expected to be familiar with Stodels Indoor Plants Product Knowledge, Shop Product Knowledge, FAP Product Knowledge, Sales to Customers, Guarantees, Customer Satisfaction and Achieving Excellence in Sales Manual
- Expected to undergo job related training from time to time
