JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced ICT Project Manager with Database Administration expertise to lead the implementation of ICT systems and ensure effective database management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects, managing data systems, and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Plan, initiate, and manage ICT projects from start to completion
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and address risks or issues proactively
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders
Database Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle)
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with policies
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support
- Manage user access and permissions
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience:
ICT Project Management Requirements
- ICT Project Manager – Required
- Minimum 3+ years experience in implementing ICT systems
- ICT Project Management Certification – Required
Database Administration Requirements
- Certified Database Administrator
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in database administration
