Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to assist with building, maintaining, and improving business-critical applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with .NET, SQL Server, and Azure, and is comfortable working across backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud-hosted solutions. To help build and support scalable business applications. The role involves backend development, API integration, database work, cloud deployment, troubleshooting, and collaboration with internal teams.
Primary Objectives:
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.
Design and build REST APIs and backend services.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures.
Work with Microsoft Azure services for application hosting, storage, monitoring, and deployment.
Assist with system integrations between internal platforms and third-party services.
Debug, investigate, and resolve application issues.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
Collaborate with business users, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
Support deployments, testing, and production issue resolution.
Maintain technical documentation where required.
Education/Qualification, Skills and Experience
Education/Qualification
Relevant degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in software development.
Required Skills and Experience
4+ years’ experience in software development.
Strong C# and .NET / .NET Core development experience.
Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC and/or Web API.
Solid SQL Server experience, including queries, joins, indexing, stored procedures, and performance troubleshooting.
Experience working with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights, or Azure Functions.
Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with Git and source control workflows.
Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while still collaborating well in a team.
Advantageous
- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Fundamentals, Azure Developer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Associate.
- Experience building or integrating LLM-based solutions, AI assistants, chatbots, or automation tools.
- Experience working with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented generation.
- Experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Razor, or Blazor.
- Experience with background jobs, caching, queues, or event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of security best practices, identity, OAuth, or role-based access.
- Experience in ecommerce, ERP, CRM, or business systems would be beneficial
