Midrand Christian College (MCC) is a private Christian-centred school offering education from early years through to Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE/AS). Guided by our mission of “Impacting Generations Through Quality Education,” we are seeking a visionary, values-driven Principal to lead our school into its next chapter.
The Role
The Principal is the academic and operational head of the College, responsible for strategic leadership, staff and learner wellbeing, financial oversight, governance compliance, and stakeholder management, working closely with the Governing Council to advance the school’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic, operational, and strategic leadership across the College
- Lead, develop, and manage staff, learners, and stakeholder relationships
- Oversee financial planning and budgeting in collaboration with the finance function
- Ensure compliance with SACE, Cambridge International, and all applicable education legislation
- Champion the school's Christian ethos and values in daily school life
- Report regularly to, and work in partnership with, the School Council.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Education (postgraduate qualification in Education Leadership/Management advantageous)
- Current SACE registration
- Minimum of 5 years' senior leadership experience in a school environment (Principal, Deputy Principal, or Head of School)
- Experience with the Cambridge International curriculum
- Strong financial, governance, and people-management acumen
- A demonstrable, lived commitment to the Christian faith and values
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
