About the Role
We are opening a premium golf and apparel store in Paarl and are looking for a charismatic retail salesperson to help bring the shop to life.
This role focuses primarily on selling high-end apparel and golf products in a relaxed, premium retail environment. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with people, has a good eye for style, and naturally enjoys selling quality products.
A basic understanding of golf is helpful, but personality, confidence, and a strong sales instinct are far more important.
You will be part of the founding retail team helping launch a new golf retail destination in the Winelands.
Key Responsibilities
Engage customers confidently and help them discover apparel and golf products that suit their style
Build complete apparel purchases through thoughtful product recommendations
Drive sales of premium apparel, golf products, and accessories
Develop strong knowledge of the brands and seasonal collections in store
Provide guidance on basic golf accessories and direct technical equipment queries to the appropriate team member
Maintain attractive product displays and ensure the shop floor remains well presented
Assist with stock receiving, merchandising, and general retail operations
Support in-store promotions, events, and product launches
Desired Skills & Attributes
Outgoing, confident personality with strong communication skills
Natural ability to engage customers and build rapport quickly
Enjoys selling premium products and achieving sales targets
Interest in lifestyle apparel, golf, or sport in general
Good sense of style and attention to presentation
Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
2 Years Retail or hospitality experience
