LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR

KVG Transport is seeking an experienced, highly organised and strong Logistics Administrator to join our small team in Bergvliet, Southern Suburbs, Cape Town
This is a hands-on, administration-focused role within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment, where priorities can change quickly. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator, highly organised, accurate and able to remain focused and efficient under pressure.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage daily transport and logistics administration
- Process and maintain container releases, ANFs and related documentation
- Prepare container terminal orders and transport documentation
- Capture and update operational information accurately and timeously
- Maintain administrative trackers, schedules and operational records
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up proactively
- Maintain accurate collection and delivery records
- Liaise professionally with customers regarding documentation, collections and delivery updates
- Communicate clearly and effectively with drivers and the operations team
- Manage and follow up on PODs and supporting delivery documentation
- Assist with port, terminal and container-related administration
- Maintain accurate and organised electronic filing systems
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and properly controlled
- Respond efficiently to changing operational requirements and priorities
- Provide general administrative support to the logistics team
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years' administration experience within transport, logistics or a similar operational environment
- Must reside in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town
- Must have own reliable transport
- Must be willing and available to work shifts and weekends when operationally required
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong administration skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organisational, time-management and follow-up skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to remain calm, organised and accurate when priorities change
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Must work well as part of a small team

Previous experience with container transport, port documentation and releases will be highly advantageous.
