We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. Qualifications and Experience:
- National Diploma/degree in Electrical or relevant Engineering qualification
- Knowledge of programming software such as PLCs, robotics, HMI, and automation
- Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative.
- More than 5 years of working experience in paint shop/body shop/assembly electrical equipment management in automotive main plant or independent experience in electrical installation and commissioning of automatic production line equipment
- Familiarity with various sensors, relay control circuits, frequency converters, electrical drawings, etc.
- Solid professional electronic knowledge, electrical operation, and maintenance knowledge
- Familiarity with programming software such as PLC, HMI, and industrial robot
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment, PLC\HMI programming, and programming of industrial robots
- Maintenance analysis of electrical-related equipment, including fault analysis and resolution, measures, improvement countermeasures, etc.
- Development of maintenance plans for electrical equipment, conducting daily inspections, regular maintenance, and developing technical documents such as safety operating procedures and operating instructions
- Management of electrical spare parts inventory and ensuring a safe stock of electrical spare parts
- Review of electrical design drawings and filing of technical data
- Ensuring construction quality and compliance with government regulations
- Identifying problems, snag lists, and ensuring quality snag close-out
- Responsible for the health and safety of subordinates and safety compliance of equipment
- Development of risk assessments for Paint shop equipment
- Training of production and new maintenance staff on all Paint shop production line risks and safe operation
