We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Marina Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This position offers excellent long-term growth, with the opportunity to progress into a Marina Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of the marina and vessels.
- Inspect mooring lines, shackles, safety pins, pontoons, and marina infrastructure.
- Check marina floats for water ingress, particularly after adverse weather.
- Complete daily inspection checklists and maintenance reports.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Welding, grinding, cutting and fabrication of metal components.
- Surface preparation, rust removal, priming and application of marine paint systems.
- Replace mooring lines, shackles and fittings.
- Assist with lifting and replacing anchor chains.
- Assist with operating the work barge and deploying race buoys and anchors.
- Perform basic 220V and 12V electrical maintenance.
- Supervise a team of 1–3 maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Communicate professionally with yacht owners, club members and contractors.
- Respond to basic emails and prepare simple monthly maintenance reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum age: Approximately 30 years or older.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
- Able to swim.
- Previous maintenance or supervisory experience.
- Welding, grinding and metal fabrication experience is essential.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, email and messaging).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to read and write English.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
- Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently.
- Contactable references.
Advantageous Skills
- Marine or yacht maintenance experience.
- Fibreglass repair experience.
- Basic knowledge of marina operations.
- Experience with pneumatic tools and marine coatings.
- Knowledge of knots, mooring systems and vessel handling.

- 08:00 – 17:30
- One-hour lunch break
- 15-minute tea break
