About the position: To ensure that all orders loaded onto delivery vehicles are correct and placed in the correct order in a cost-effective manner and in line with food safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Allocating of trucks into loading bays according to size and load.
- Check load before loaders start loading onto trucks.
- Instruct load controller and loaders to load the truck in line with packing protocol.
- Oversee the loading of the truck.
- When stock shortages occur liaise with factory and transfer stock from cage.
- Check expiry dates.
- Supervise time of off-loading pallets and crates returned.
- Check cleanliness of stock and crates.
- Check pallets are packed correctly.
- Report all discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Minimum requirements:
- Grade 12
- 2years experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Other requirements
- The job requires you to work shifts, work on weekends and public holidays.
- The position will occasionally require you to work overtime.
