The Manager Sales will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Planning:
· Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
· Conduct market analysis to identify sales opportunities and trends.
· Create detailed sales plans to penetrate new markets or increase share in existing ones.
· Set goals for regional and local sales teams.
Client Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and other sales partners.
· Manage key accounts and provide personalized services to retain clients.
· Negotiate sales agreements and partnerships to maximize ticket sales and revenue.
Team Leadership & Management:
· Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
· Train and develop sales personnel, providing regular feedback and coaching.
· Assign tasks, manage performance, and ensure sales teams follow established strategies and guidelines.
Revenue Management & Reporting:
· Monitor sales performance and revenue generation.
· Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market performance to recommend corrective actions.
· Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting progress and areas of improvement.
Pricing & Revenue Optimization:
· Collaborate with the revenue management team to develop competitive pricing strategies.
· Ensure pricing aligns with the airlines overall revenue goals and market conditions.
Promotions & Marketing Coordination:
· Work closely with marketing teams to promote special offers, routes, and loyalty programs.
· Assist in the planning and execution of advertising and promotional campaigns to increase visibility and sales.
· Engage in public relations activities to boost the airline's reputation in the marketplace.
Contract & Agreement Management:
· Oversee the negotiation and administration of contracts with key stakeholders such as corporate clients, travel agents, and distributors.
· Ensure contracts align with the airline’s revenue and legal standards.
Sales Channels Optimization:
· Manage and optimize various sales channels including online, travel agents, corporate sales, and direct sales.
· Implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity across sales channels.
Strategic or Generic Skills:
· Good mature leadership and team building skills, interpersonal, planning, communication and analytical skills
Technical Attributes:
· Has experience in Sales & Marketing functions with added financial & business acumen.
· Displays a sound understanding of corporate business objectives and plans including related operational policies and procedures and computerized systems.
· Has good understanding of the development of budgets and the critical elements of a budget.
Personal Attributes:
· The ability to proactively develop systems/products and procedures to streamline sales & marketing activities/functions.
· The ability to provide advice to senior management team on sales & marketing matters, including systems/processes and procedures.

1. Revenue Growth:
o Target: Achieving or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
o Measurement: Total sales revenue generated versus the target. Tracked through internal financial reports.
2. Market Share Growth:
o Target: Increase in the airline's market share within the region or segment. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.
o Measurement: Capacity share comparing the airline's share against competitors.
3. Sales Volume:
o Target: Number of tickets sold or passengers transported. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.
o Measurement: Total number of tickets sold per channel or region, tracked through distribution systems.
4. Client Acquisition & Retention:
o Target: Acquisition of new corporate clients and retention of existing clients. The target will be set by as set by Senior Management.
o Measurement: Number of new contracts signed, client retention rates, and renewal contracts.
5. Sales Channel Performance:
o Target: Optimization and Increase in the airline's market share of all sales channels (online, corporate, travel agencies, etc.) as set by Senior Management.
o Measurement: Revenue share by channel, growth in online sales, and overall sales channel performance metrics.
6. Sales Team Performance:
o Target: Achievement of team targets and individual sales goals.
o Measurement: Individual and team performance metrics tracked through CRM and internal reporting tools.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Preferably 10 Years minimum experience sales and marketing field including 5 years in a management role(s) or Equivalent.
· Sales, Tourism & Marketing Experience
· Tertiary qualifications in related discipline(s) desirable but not essential
