Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House staff member to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of Crumble Gluten Free Bakery, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, preparing a variety of beverages, assisting with food service, and supporting kitchen operations. Your passion for quality and commitment to creating a positive experience for our customers will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
● Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Provide knowledgeable and attentive service, ensuring a positive experience for every guest.
● Drink Preparation: Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to Crumble Gluten Free Bakery’s recipes and standards.
● Food Service: Assist with the serving of baked goods and other menu items. Ensure food is presented attractively and meets our quality standards.
● Kitchen Support: Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as mixing ingredients, portioning dough, and assembling baked goods. Follow kitchen procedures and ensure proper handling of ingredients.
● Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and credit payments with integrity.
● Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee bar, dining area, and kitchen. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
● Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed. Communicate any supply needs or issues to management.
● Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient service. Assist with training new staff as needed.
● Customer Feedback: Actively listen to customer feedback and address any concerns or special requests to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is preferred.
● Basic kitchen experience or a willingness to learn food preparation tasks.
● Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
● Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
● Basic math skills and experience handling cash and credit transactions.
● Knowledge of gluten-free dietary requirements is a plus.
● Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
● Passion for providing outstanding customer service and a commitment to creating a positive atmosphere.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to stand for extended periods.
● Ability to lift and carry heavy stock and hot food items.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: R5 000,00 per month
Experience:
- Professional Barista: 1 year (Required)
- working in a professional cafe/bakery/coffee shop: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Work Permit/Legally Permitted To Work (Required)
